Anusol contains a number of ingredients which are useful in the relief of symptoms associated with piles (haemorrhoids) and other local skin irritations in the anal area.

* Inflammation of the rectum (proctitis)
* Itching around the back passage (pruritus ani)

Adults: apply to affected area night and morning and after each bowel evacuation as necessary
* Children: not recommended
* Make sure affected area is washed and dried. Apply ointment to area, completely covering it, twice daily.
* To insert into rectum attach nozzle to tube, gently squeeze tube. Wash nozzle after use in hot water and detergent, then rinse well with water.
* If you have difficulty in squeezing ointment from tube hold it between hands for a few minutes to warm it. * Adults: apply to affected area night and morning and after each bowel evacuation as necessary

* Do not swallow the cream or apply it to any part of the body except the area around the anus or rectum using the applicator. If you accidentally swallow Anusol Ointment, tell your doctor at once.
