Anusol Plus HC Ointment is used for the treatment of haemorrhoids (piles) and pruritus ani (itching around the anus). Haemorrhoids are enlarged or swollen blood vessels which can cause varying degrees of discomfort, itch and irritation, particularly after a bowel movement. They may either be internal (inside the anus) or external (outside the anus). Anusol Plus HC Ointment may be used for either of these conditions.

For anal application. Adults over 18 years:

Thoroughly cleanse the affected area, dry, and apply ointment on a gauze dressing. Use sparingly at night, in the morning and after each bowel movement up to 4 applications per day. For internal conditions use the rectal nozzle provided and clean after each use. Do not use for longer than 7 consecutive days.



Children (under 18 years): Not recommended.

Active ingredients (%w/w): Hydrocortisone acetate 0.25, Bismuth Oxide 0.875, Zinc Oxide 10.75, Bismuth Subgallate 2.25, Balsam Peru 1.875, Benzyl Benzoate 1.25. Other ingredients: petroleum jelly, calcium hydrogen phosphate, anhydrous lanolin, cocoa butter, castor oil, light kaolin, magnesium stearate.

Do not use in pregnancy without medical advice. If you continually suffer from haemorrhoids, if the condition is not improved, or if rectal bleeding occurs, consult your doctor.
