Anusol Plus HC Suppositories are used to relieve the pain, swelling, itch and irritation of internal piles (haemorrhoids) and anal itching.

* Not recommended Children under 18 years * Always follow the instructions in your own product
For adults over the age of 18 years and the elderly:
* Wash the anal area and dry gently with a soft towel * Remove one Anusol Plus HC Suppository from the plastic cover * Insert as deeply into the back passage (anus) * Use at night, in the morning and after each bowel movement
Do not
* Take orally * Use more than 3 suppositories a day * Use for longer than 7 consecutive days * See your doctor if your symptoms worsen or do not improve within 7 days

The active substances in each Anusol Plus HC Suppository are: Hydrocortisone acetate 10mg, Zinc oxide 296mg, Bismuth subgallate 59mg, Balsam Peru 49mg, Bismuth oxide 24mg and Benzyl benzoate 33mg.
Other ingredients are: Kaolin light, suppocire BS2 pastilles (hard fat). Warnings
Before you use Anusol Plus HC Suppositories: This medicine is suitable for most people but a few people should not use it. If you are in any doubt, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not use Anusol Plus HC Suppositories if:
* You have had a reaction to Anusol or any of its ingredients * You have fungal, viral or bacterial skin sores
If any of these apply to you, get advice from a doctor or pharmacist without using Anusol
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if:
* You have rectal bleeding or if you are in doubt whether any bleeding you have experienced is caused by piles. * Symptoms worsen or do not improve within 7 days * You are taking or using any other medicines including, Corticosteroids (a type of anti-inflammatory drug e.g. hydrocortisone).
Pregnancy and Breast-feeding: If you are pregnant, only use on the advice of your doctor. If you are breast-feeding you can use Anusol Plus HC Suppositories
Anusol Plus HC Suppositories can have side-effects, like all medicines, although these don't affect everyone and are usually mild.
If you experience the following, stop using Anusol Plus HC Suppositories and tell your doctor: Sensitivity reactions (such as a rash) which occur rarely
Other effects which may occur include: Mild irritation or burning on application. This does not usually last a long time, so if this becomes troublesome or last longer than a few days, tell your doctor.
These are mild side-effects, which will usually stop when you stop using the suppositories.
